About these listings.
The majority of the items listed here I obtained from my place of employment and were discarded from there after routine hardware upgrades. To the best of my knowledge, all of the items listed here were in proper working order prior to being decommissioned. Unfortunately, as with any used item, this is something that I cannot absolutely guarantee. Therefore, everything listed here, is being sold "as is". No exceptions.
Because of time constraints and high volume, most of the components listed here are either not tested or only tested in a very limited way. Higher resolution images are provided for each item to help assist in determining useability. Most chip markings should be fairly readable.
Although I am willing to answer questions about listed items, I am primarily a parts collector, not a technician, so if possible, please try to determine useability on your own.
If someone is truly interested in an "untested" item, I do have a couple of machines set up here I could use to do simple, quick tests. However, this will depend entirely upon what type of item it is. Please feel free to ask.
Procedures for items marked as "tested".
Motherboards are tested only to post to correct memory count. Nothing further.
You should automatically assume that all pictured CMOS batteries are either not included or dead. All of these pictures were taken shortly after testing and many of the batteries have been removed or discarded since that time. Just so you know.
Most motherboards will contain at least some memory. The correct amount of ram will always be included with the board, but it may not necessarily be the same type that is in the picture. So if you see EDO in the photo and it arrives with FPM don't be surprised. The reason for this is that my supply of older memory sticks is somewhat limited.
Graphics cards are tested only to post. No additional testing of available video resolutions performed.
Memory modules are tested only to post to the correct memory count. No other testing was performed.
Processors are tested only to sucessfully post. Again, no other testing performed.
Tested AT style PSU's were checked to post properly on a 80386 DX 40 with no other devices attatched.
Tested ATX style PSU's were checked to post properly on an Asus dual slot 1 board with 2 Intel 333 MHZ PII's installed and with no other devices attached.
Last note - I will not split up items. The configuration of a pictured item is the only way that it will be sold. I will not pull cache ram or processors off of boards and sell them individually. Considering the amount of time I spent putting all this stuff back together, I just can't see much reasoning in taking it apart again.
Well that should just about do it. If you have any questions please feel free to ask. Hope you enjoy the site.
